Recently, we welcomed Ed Daniel on-board as our new Head of Marketing. If his name sounds familiar then it certainly should as Ed is a well known figure in the open source community. It is likely that you will have crossed paths at one of many industry events such as Solutions Linux, DevOps Days, InfoSec Europe and Open World Forum, as well as various meetups In Paris, London and New York.
Possessing more than 20 years experience in the domains of enterprise architecture and service management, Ed DANIEL is well versed in today’s challenges and opportunities for enterprise IT service management: “It is no longer acceptable for an organisation to suffer the failure of mission critical IT services, be that the organisations’ email service going down, online assets and services going offlline or rendered unavailable, nor breaches of security and data leakage, without incurring significant damage to the trust and reputation of that organisation.”
Ed DANIEL has served as the Community Development Coordinator for the OW2 Consortium, providing marketing guidance to a variety of successful high tech start-ups (many of them open source) in EMEA.
Ed continues to work with OW2 as a member of the technical council.
A recognized subject matter expert in ITIL and ITSM, Ed has been behind the development of early automated discovery tools for cross-platform ITSM, ZENmetrics and providing thought leadership in leveraging these tools and methods to meet IT service management challenges.
Ed DANIEL holds an ITIL v3 certification as well as other industry certifications and remains active in the open source community supporting organizations with philanthropic interests.
